Our foundry

Ohron is the European representative of Zhejiang HEC Machinery Co., Ltd, a family-owned aluminium foundry established in 1986. The foundry’s fourth facility, built in 2017, is located in Taizhou, on the east coast of China, near the port of Ningbo. From there, products are shipped via Rotterdam to Ohron in Belfeld or directly to the customer.

The foundry specialises in complex aluminium castings produced using a comprehensive range of processes including sand casting, shell core casting, gravity die casting, low-pressure (LPDC) and high-pressure die casting (HPDC). We have been supplying aluminium cast components to leading OEMs across Europe and the United States for more than 25 years.

This is where our strength lies: expertise across multiple casting processes.

Working closely with each customer, the foundry determines which process is best suited to the product, considering both the required quality and the most cost-effective investment.

From low-volume production to high-volume series, we provide flexible manufacturing solutions supported by automated CNC machining and advanced quality control systems.

Our foundry covers a total area of ​​100,000 m² (42,500 m² with solar energy), has ± 300 employees, is ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ASME certified, and complies with CSR, CDP, and RoHS.
